Christmas Choir 2009

Tanner has been practicing in the choir since the start of the school year.  The school was full and if the fire marshal was there he would have emptied the place... for sure... The place was packed with standing room only.

I took the one of the the Poppie and Bennett...

Ady is the photographer for Makaylee and Matthew was the photographer for Ady and her bear dressed like a penguin...

We sat with the Huntsman's and the Sweet's and Tanner was lucky to have all his grandparents present but Grandpa Warner.

Grandma Warner and Grandpa and Grandma Strong along with Bennett...

Alyssa, Tanner and Grandma Leslie you are so cute of course Tanner could look at the photographer... well, maybe huh???

Oh Matt you must try to focus better...
I see what you were really focusing on... The reindeer... not the Gramma... LOL...

If one gets anymore jolly and the other gets anymore grumpy... We might have fun... Right now Matt thinks he should go in our van to our house at all times... Because he wants to or says so.  He is 3 and very opinionated.

Time to go home and get something done for the day... My days are usually done by noon... Then it's time to sit and crochet or finish up a project.

Following a 1 yr old for 5 minutes... LOL

I helped Holly with the kids while she went to Adylin's Christmas party at pre-school.  Mr. Bennett decide to go into destruction mode and I grabbed my camera... Enjoy!!!

He has already dumped all the pop up notes by the phone... He is looking for more... Sorry luv...
The phone is already up higher...

He found the dice, but would rather have the glass vases... funny kid

He is trying to shred the paper... I unplug it, but he doesn't stop trying...
Almost done with the 5 minutes run...now he is almost tall enough to reach the stuff on the table... Oh my!!!

Caught in the act of playing in the dog food and water bowl... The temptation wasn't put up this time... He is going to learn to pick up his mess soon... After all he is 1 already LOL

Yearning to watch tv with the others... NOT... I took him down there just a few minutes before and he ran up to the kitchen AGAIN !!!   So up he stays... for a bit

On the move and Gramma is running behind...
I stopped at the 5 minute mark so I could do some clean-up before I started lunch for the kindergartner.

He is trying to move the papers off the stool so he can climb up and get on the table...
I had to put the stool up...
He is so smart he has it already figured out.
He now heads right to the stool and climbs quickly before anyone can stop him...
What is next for him... we will just have to wait and see...

I am sure there is more to follow for Mr. Bennett... He is full of vim and vinegar...

I love my grand children... They are busy, but I would do it again tomorrow... Hugs

The view out the front door...

It snowed big time today and John has been out using the snow blower for hours.

Poor Rusty couldn't find a place to potty that wasn't to deep... to leave his mark of yellow snow without freezing his body parts... LOL

Mike decided to give up on the commute before he even started.   I am dipping some cookies besides sewing dollies and cleaning the house... Yup a regular day for me... hehe   More tomorrow LOL

For some reason I am just DONE!!!

This past week has been horrid... A few letters from the bank (liars, saying we are not willing to work with them) and a letter from an attorney about Chris' accident in 03' and they just bugged me... I have a tendency to wallow, wring my hands and stew about things until I figure out what to do or see a way to move forward.

Thank goodness Holly came in and took a stance and made a few phone calls for me... (she gets tired of me stewing, it cuts into my time helping her out hehe)  She called the attorney and we read the bank papers and called on those too.

The attorney is for the trucking company that we already settled with... but the other guy in the truck, Chris is suing them.  They want all the info on our Chris and I am just not into digging unless I am required by the courts.  It just keeps things on the surface and during the holidays it's sad on a good day (really).  I posted an email to Britt and her dad and got a good phone call to tell me not to do anything... Keep the paperwork and just ignore them unless it is subpoenaed from the courts.  So one less hand wringing and stewing moment.

The bank is another story... the firm representing the default/foreclosure said if we are going to pay the $303,000 we have until the 3rd of Dec to pay in full (oh right hahaha).  Then it's in the banks court again.  We wanted a time frame for moving (didn't want to put up Christmas to have to take it down before the day).  The good news is it's about 120 days.  That will get us into Spring almost and not have things outside frozen solid to the ground.  That means I have less to store in a non frozen place.  I do not have to many of those left, and that was bugging me.  I can do this and even with a smile.  Hurrah for 120 days from Nov. 4th.

I am still sick... and have been since before my birthday in Oct. but I am not wringing my hands and stewing about stuff I have no control over.  I have a new plan moving forward.  Now I just get to save money to have someone come in and pack for me... I can't do it, Mike can't do it, and we are just done... It's been a long time coming and we are both just done...

The bottom line for today is the gratitude I feel for my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ.  Losing your house to the economy isn't the end of our world.  I have faith and hope that things will work out for the best.  I do not know how or what will happen or when, but I do know that we are blessed and loved.  The Gospel is True...

Autumn is over and winter has begun, and other stuff

We had the most incredible autumn this year. The colors were spectacular... Holly did a photo shoot out at Copperton Park which turned out very well...

I can't believe that Tanner is 8, Oh believe me he is 8...

Adylin is 4 1/2, she is just about the sweetest child in the world.  Shows so much compassion and loves to play with her brother Bennett.

Matthew is 3 1/2 and laughs at almost everything he isn't having a tantrum over.  His giggle is so funny, to hear it just makes you laugh and laugh... especially when he says bathroom words... and he knows a few (bum, fart, underware, etc)

Mr. Bennett will turn the BIG 1 in just a few days.  This one is to smart for his own diapers... He has a tad bit of a temper...you know it when you take something away from him...anything away from him... Then he puts his head on your shoulder and pats your back...  He is so cute...

Since they live so close, we interact with them almost daily. Today we took Adylin to the store to buy her yarn for her blanket that Pop's is making for her.  She make unique choices... we tried to use our influence, but she really wanted this one color (multi) and she got it... but we tried to change her mind... it was locked.

The Rest of the Story... Shaver's House

I guess I should have asked them if I could blog their house... oops, guess it's to late to ask now.

One of the very special helpers was Tinker Bell otherwise known as Tink...
Both "kids" got very good and hiding from both Matt and Bennett...
Then we have the newcomer, Snickerdoodle, otherwise known as Snickers...

The house was build in 1911 by Ron's grandfather. It was like living in a wonderful museum. I mean that in a good way... I love antiques that do not look like junk... I was in love with this house.

I slept in the wedding bed of Pam's grandmother.

We bathed in the original claw foot tub.

They have a root cellar for their foods... my potatoes and carrots would love to have a root cellar to live in instead of a bin in the fridge.

The only complaint I had was not air conditioning and it was 102 outside...at the time.  I don't do heat on a good day and that is why I live in the desert...it's dry.

We went up these fun stairs and lived on the 2nd floor.
Holly, Bennett and Matt got the master bedroom with a window air conditioner. Lucky kids...

Matt was very curious about the heater on the floor.  It was one I remember from Santa Ana when my dad was in Turkey.  Mark walked across the grate one morning to burn his feet... It was painful and he had a grid on the bottom of his feet for awhile.

He had a very good time.
He wanted to use the telephone on the wall... but Ma Bell wasn't that old.

Aunt Neva and I were room mates... I asked her to pose on the stairs to show how steep they were. The wood was all original and I was in love. The house had nooks and crannies that the new houses do not have. A window seat here and an alcove there... sigh.
So enjoy the pictures and remember I am not a professional at anything... and that what I do, I do for fun.
