The Move to the Roundstem...No Pix's... to tired

Ok....

We moved April 13 with a truck... but started on the 8th moving boxes and small items with the van.  We enjoyed a few church members at Wild Oak and a few church members at Roundstem.  The number one thing we just had to get done with the truck was moving all the items we needed to have a ramp for and all large items and appliances.  That was accomplished with the help of Mike, John and Davis.

I asked Dawn and Mike and there 3 if they could come on Saturday to help us with the rest of items.  So we have been moving for 10 days at this point.  Tired doesn't even describe how we felt.  Thank you Tammy and Wade and Mike and Dawn for the help and the time spent moving our junk around.  Lex and Seth helped also along with Belle.  Mike got to go back to work on the next Monday the 19th.  That is a treat you know to sit at a desk and work on the computer after lifting boxes and moving things for days on end.

Holly, Tanner, Ady, Matt and Bennett moved most of our food storage from the basement to either her garage or our garage.  It took many trips in her suburban and many minutes re directing children to help.  I appreciate all the time and energy spent helping us... It's one thing I didn't have to worry about... Thanks Holly and all...

I did very well until Thursday, April 22... and then I had a major melt down.... I got my feelings hurt and just fell apart at the seams... into a lump... on the floor... It took me a day to to get myself together, but I did with the help of family and friends who understood how difficult this was for me.

I went everyday to fill the van with stuff... a 2900 sq ft home, with a 3 car garage and a storage shed in the back yard.  On Saturday, April 24th Davis and Holly and I went over to get the last of the yard items and the garage items.  Davis did go back and get the red retaining bricks and all of the bricks we have used over the past 14 yrs.   It will help them in their house and yard to prep their yard and garden area.  My Chris' pavers, my flower beds... just all of it.  We dug up lilac bushes I planted from my dad... iris my grandpa developed... bleeding hearts from my dad... tulips I planted over the years... grape hyacinths and giant hyacinths.  If we could dig them up we did... to bring some of my family to Holly's and then if we buy a place and can plant a few things I have samples I can take from there....

Monday April 26 and Tuesday we finished up and closed the doors on the property.  Wild Oak is still ours... we are waiting to sign papers...but we are out.  Lock Stock and Barrel... It took us over 2 weeks to do this task and we are still to tired to attack the garage here.  I still can't find my Sunday shoes.  We were able to work out there today for an hour in the freezing rain trying to get to the shelves to put items on.

The biggest problem I can see from my point of view is letting Coco go to a new home.  He is happy.. they have 2 kids who adore him as well as the Momma and the Poppa... he gets to do to daycare with the kids every day cuz' it's Grandma's house.... Thank you so much Kate for giving him a safe and happy place to stay while his family is at work and school.   I miss his enthusiasm for life and excitement for all he does...

The update on where we are in the house is this:  We have no boxes just sitting around in the main rooms or bedrooms.  Trying to hang a few items to keep them from getting ruined in the garage...and I have gone through all the kitchen boxes.  We are either using everything in the kitchen or have re packed for the next move to Spanish Fork... or Eagle Mtn... who ever is less expensive ... haha

We still can't get into the 3 car garage... But the path is a bit bigger today than it was yesterday.  I think all of the food items are on the shelves and Mike got a few tools on shelves also.
