I am Thankful...

We signed on Friday at 6 p.m...

We get keys on Tuesday, do not have a time... Have cleaning to do... Any help would be appreciated... Like that is open for negotiations... people are just free to drop in and clean, clean, clean.... YUP!!!

And will move our bed over on Wednesday...

So... that is our update!... It has been a bumpy ride.

We found out the mortgage company is in New Jersey... the hurricane and blizzard took their share out of that state... which might explain a bit of the slowness in this paperwork and process.

We are just thankful to be on this end of the paperwork... and grateful to have a home to move to.

It's been a very long ride... with many stops along the way... but with the Lords help, we are finally making it.

Woot Woot!!!

I know where my roasting pan is!!  We bought the ham we are cooking for the family dinner on Thursday... So that part is good...  Al is driving down on Wednesday and will be driving home on Sunday.  He will be around to help with this move too... Yeah!!!  The more hands the merrier...

Looking forward to getting together for the annual broom hockey game on Thursday... I feel good enough to get out there this year after losing a few pounds... soooooo  maybe I'll play, who knows... Warren and I would make a great team!!!  hehehehe

OK... off the hook...

Everyone is off the hook Saturday...

Including me....  I guess I am going to bake cakes at my friends instead of clean a house... without a key it's impossible to clean and put in dog doors.

We are just waiting ... our middle name and here we thought the wait was done... and we were finally making the move...

SURPRISE...

well they (still not sure who they are) say Tuesday... so we will see... hahaha... I did pack 4 more boxes... so one day I may get packed up and ready to move, and then again... maybe not.

I am going to bake boiled raisin cakes with Margaret out in Eagle Mtn cuz I'm so tired of waiting to get moved to bake my cakes and put them in a freezer that might one day be moved to a new spot... hehehehe

sigh...

I'm trying to stay upbeat, but this is really taking a beating out of both Mike and I....

It's a good thing we have faith...

Hugs to all

HOUSE ! IT'S A GO..............

We finally got a date.

Hurrah.... November 9, 2012....

I'm pretty excited... considering it was supposed to be my birthday... Not to far off.  But if I were having a baby... no way would I wait that long to have it.  So......

Here we go.  As of right now... I will be having a cleaning party on Saturday around noon to make sure all the cabinets and drawers and bathrooms etc. are clean... Mike will be working on the dog run unless we are in the middle of a snowstorm... but we have 2 dog doors to put in that day also.

I'm thinking of windows and cleaning of rooms etc... so that on Monday I get the carpets done... I am hoping to get some of the bushes and trees trimmed before WINTER hits... they are very overgrown... (hint hint Kristy tell Zach & Louise tell Jason).
(the front door/front porch)
If I can get the basics done on Saturday or over the next few days after we get the keys, then Mike and I can slowly start to move items in.  I figure we will get the major move started Friday and finish up on Saturday.

John and Es are going to stay at the house in Springville for the next month or two, we talked to the property management people, hoping that when BYU changes out again, they can find something closer to their work towards the end of Dec the the first of Jan... This helps us some by us by not having to have everything out before the end of November.  But I would like to have everything out as soon as possible.

Here is the address: 2737 E. 1470 S. Spanish Fork, UT 84660.  It's off Hwy 6, Take the light at Canyon St to the right (it only goes right) and you will be turning left onto 2600 East (it has the blue house on the corner that looks like a doll house).  Stay on this street and as it turns to the left it's on the left with the street light in the yard... If you come to the end of the street... you've gone to far... :)

If you can come and help... come on over... If you can't... We still love you... I'm sure Mike could always use some help with the fencing and dog doors... Bring your energy and enthusiasm... I'm excited... and exhausted...

corn on the cob

This is the first Ear of Corn that Kabrie can remember eating...
With teeth... even tho she only has top teeth and is really only juicing it,  she is loving the corn and the cob.  She chawed on this cob for a good half hour.  Of course when she was done, she cleared her plate to the floor by swiping everything back and forth off of the tray... TaDa... the tray is clean...

The floor looks like a tornado with food tossed all over.  We wish Rusty was a better sweeper, but he is picky... so we have to sweep instead.  Which doesn't always happen until after due to running after a 16 month old kiddo.

Kiana informed me that corn was her favorite food.  Then she ate a bunch of chips... so go figure... She loves junk food the best.  hehe

Most kids love corn on the cob... Yum. Yum.
We love our cob holders, "Bed, Bath and Beyond" have the best, they fit together and are lovely and large and go in the dishwasher and last for a long, long time.  Yeah!!!

Summer is a coming.... Outside and gardens and play and pools... so we will see what summer brings...

Playing At Holly's

We got to play at Holly's starting on Tuesday, April, 24th until April 29th, while Holly and Davis were gone to Orlando, Fl.  It was some work and some play for them.

It was mostly work and some play for me...

Haha...

Mike came and helped out on Thursday, but 5 kiddo's no matter how you spell it is work... Ask any mother!!!

The trick is to find some fun no matter how much work is involved... I didn't learn that trick when my kids were young.  I didn't do to poorly with my grandkids, but I still am not great at it... sigh... guess it's just hard for me...

Holly did great setting it all up for me tho... She had someone come in and clean the house on Tuesday... Wonderful!!!  The laundry was caught up!!! Hurrah!!!  The meals were set up and ready to go... Hurrah!!!  It was like a calendar... went like clockwork...

Bennett wet his bed every night the little pill... he is going thru a 'faze'... He earned $2 for doing his p... on the potty... but couldn't concentrate on the pee pee part too... stinker!!!

The weather poured rain one night... and the kids left their shoes out that night... the one night I didn't get their shoes in!!!  sigh

I didn't panic... they each have more than one pair of shoes, but Bennett couldn't find his match... I got out and dug out his boots and he was in heaven!!! Loves his winter boots...

Warren had so much fun playing in the sandbox full of sand and water!!  The bath afterwards was also a lot of fun too...

I didn't get one picture.

I was busy chasing one in one door and one out the other door.  Good thing there was only 3 doors... I only lost Bennett once and Warren once!!!  I felt pretty good for that...

SIGH...  and they were only lost for a few minutes at that... and found in the house or yard... and safe at that too.

All and all... we had nothing broken on the kids or the house... except a picture frame that I will gladly replace... We attended a church carnival dinner that was fun and we ate cotton candy and played games too...

I have to thank Mike for his help... he even cleaned up the kitchen one day while I put the rest of the house together so the parents didn't come home to a place that was totaled... Ya know ... grandma's and grandpa's don't enforce the chores as well as the parents do...

We did do scriptures and prayers and homework...

I would do it again... it was a fun bonding time with the grandkids... they need it and we need it...

We love our
grandkids
you know...
