The Mexican Riveria... NOT!!!

THIS IS HOW WE SPENT OUR TIME WHILE MOM AND DAD WERE ON THE BIG SHIP ON THE OCEAN...

Matthew the drummer

Rachael brought her friend John over to help me out. They were able to come 2 nights from 6 to around 8:30. This way I was able to check the laundry, get the dishes done, prep for dinner the next day.... breathe... and just enjoy.

Oh Gramma, what big eyes you have.
I hope these reading glasses don't hurt his eyes...

Of course when he got done, they needed a good washing...

Ady and Gramma are relaxing after dinner and before bed. I think we were trying to eat the red tiles on Bookworm... yum yum...

Audree Playing with Gramma

We get to have Audree come and have a sleep over every other Friday night.

Then we spend the next day, Saturday doing chores and other projects.

This is how we spent our weekend in January.

Making a craft project with foam and glue and glitter... Oh my!!

After a bit of art, then onto the dishes.

Take advantage of her love of helping (playing in water), because soon she will figure it that this isn't really fun, but a hated chore for the rest of her days !!!

But, shhh... don't tell her yet.... she still enjoys making bubbles and washing dishes at Gramma's house.

We were working in the basement getting things ready for door casings and baseboards.

We had an area in the furnace room that needed a bit of cutting. So who better than Gramma and Audree to do it while the 'guys' were doing other things.

We had to saw back and forth until the piece came off. It was really hard to cut.

This is the saw we used and the piece we cut off. It was just in the way of the dirt we were sweeping.

Then we got dressed and had to run some errands. We went shopping and then to visit my new friend, Phillip. He lives at Aunt Margaret's house. Rachael and her friend John took Phillip and I to McDonald's to eat and play. We did so well at listening that before we came back, we got an ice cream cone.... I really do have fun.

Time sure flies when we are having fun...

We went to the $ store and bought one thing and then time to go home to Daddy and Abi.

Goodbye Gramma!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to You!!!

I know I am late getting this blog updated.

Guess I finally have a few minutes to do so today.

This is what we woke up to this morning.

Seems this year we've have a few of these mornings....

Mike is out using his wonderful 2 stage snowblower.

I am not sure this is what he really thought when he decided to ride out the slump in houses.

Spring must be just around the corner...Right?

LET'S GO SWING... NOT!!

Our fence is 6 feet high with the middle brace coming in at about 3 feet.
Guess we won't be playing out agan for awhile.
Even poor Rusty has trouble finding a place shorter than he :) haha

Re-Thinking the House...Again

Well, Mike and I have had time to go over the
Real Estate situation in Utah.
We will not be able to sell and get into anything.
So we are going to sit out the slump.
I will then have some time to really DECLUTTER.

Now, I am rolling my eyes too, but give me a chance to try.
I have really done well so far with the 'program'.
DONATE...USE...TRASH...

So this summer I plan on doing a bit
more with the yard and garden.
I really love this house.
It needs a good clean and sprucing up and
I can hire someone to help me do that...
unless Mike really wants to that is !!

The basement is nearly finished, but I think I will sand
and paint before I get the carpets cleaned. The bedroom
is nearly done down there with all the baseboards up and
the window sills done, we even have all the door casings
done and all is caulked and ready to be painted.
So, it's in a better place than ever before.

I am motivated to make this house into MINE :)...
And live here a long long time.
That means doing all the things we have talked about over the past 11 years...
I am done talking.
So watch out folks!!!
OK
