Bugarin's and Colorado

We finally made it to visit the Bugarin Family in their new home in Greeley. The last time we visited they still lived in their home in Kersey. Ok..it's a good thing they have patience, it's been over 5 years they have waited for us to visit them.

Their home is lovely. A rambler with 2 bedrooms up and a nice basement with a bedroom and a family room. The best part is the eating/cooking room... We would call it a sun porch.

They have plants galore,
Robert has his camp chef stove out there and does most of his cooking out on the sun porch. It is so nice.

Alberto, Alma and their children were staying with them for a time until they could move into their own place. They had just moved to Greeley from Arkansas and were looking for a place to move before school started for their 3.

Alma is just amazing.
She never seems to tire, cooks and cleans and
I felt very lazy...

It's a good thing I went to lie down for a nap... I didn't want to just feel lazy, one must be true to oneself...

Of course they cooked to much, which means we ate to much... aaaaaaaaaaah it was wonderful. We were able to visit and eat (our favorite things to do on vacation)... and of course we checked out the Wal-mart near them.

Jay and Sarah have a nice Townhome near by the market... And I mean the market!!! The prices were not to be beat and the produce was very fresh. Sarah and Aiden were in Salt Lake visiting her friend with a new baby... We missed them.

I think the visit wouldn't be complete without seeing the super patio Robert made for Guille. To complete it he just needs to put the swing together... OK Robert, it's time to add the swing for Guille =) ...

While Guille and Robert were at work, Alma taught me how to make roasted chili sauce.

We started out by roasting the chili's until they are brown.

We needed to do this outside because the chili oils and smells were so strong they hurt your eyes and nose...

We also roasted the tomatillo's when we finished the chili's.

It takes a while to roast, but after that it goes together very quickly. Garlic and Water and salt... only 5 ingredients. I brought home 3 pints of the good stuff. Hurrah!!!

We couldn't have enjoyed much more, but then we celebrated Robet's birthday with a fine meal prepared by Alberto and Alma. Yum...

A nice young man, Ivan came over and played his guitar and sang. Not only were we stuffed, but we were relaxed... the skies dumped and the lightening flashed and we just sat inside the sun room and had a party...

As all vacations do, ours came to end far to soon. We arose early Sunday morn and got out of the way so people could get ready for church.

We took our time going home. We stopped at the Lincoln Memorial Hwy for a short stop...

it is the best rest stop ever!!!

The great wide open skies of Wyoming... So blue and bright... WOW!!!

The cloud formation caught Mike's eyes as we were driving along the highway... So, I put my camera out the window and this is what we got... Not bad going down the highway at 75 mph... or was it 80... hm...

We took a small detour into Green River for gas and ended up by the river. We were surprised at all the recreation available in WY... guess we need to get out more... haha

Our little boy, Rusty sure missed us... We were greeted at the door by him and a finished kitchen. While we were gone John and Abi finished painting the kitchen. It looked so nice. Thanks to all who made our little get-away a very nice and relaxing time...
