This is the Birthday 'Boy'... He has turned 46 and is already looking towards his 47th... Now he has turned his attention to Christmas... Oh my heck!!!
He got enough paper to fill the superbowl. He got enough pens and pencils with a flashlight and a pencil sharpener, too.
We met up in Rupert, Idaho at Aunt Mae's house.
I took 4 of my grandkids...
All but Audree who is still a little young for grandma to take along with the other rugrats!!!
The older kids were good to help set up and clean the porch.
Seth and Tanner were good to run the errands, especially going to the '$1' store... hurrah.
They did a very good job picking out 'special' things just for Poppa Mark!!!
I asked Tasha and Teresa help with the invites and all. The Young Family, Raulan, Amy, Connor, Genna, and Riley came and Mark went wild...
He hugged and hugged, it was so cool to see him have such love for his 'old' neighbors.
They were very good neighbors.
Shoveling snow for dad in the winter.
Amy was very good at clipping Mark's fingernails as Mom and Dad were so tired at times.
Mark would go over and 'fold' laundry and help with the kids...
Riley was pretty young and Mark LOVES babies!!!
The kids have grown so much...
I still think of them as little... NOT!!!
We made salads and bbq'd burgers and hotdogs.
Add some pop and chips and you have a real good dinner.
They sat and talked for quiet some time.
It was good to see Mark enjoying their company and thinking he was the belle of the ball!!!
Which he was of course.
Amy was just healing from a bad sprain. She was finally up and getting around a bit. Glad to see she could make it.
Aunt Irma was in Washington visiting her son and family.
She got Mark this great 'spiderman' set...
She sure knows her nephew.
Aunt Velola came and gave Mark 'MONEY'...
his favorite thing besides paper...
Then Mark gave her a loving kiss on the 'nose'...
what a goofy guy.
Some of the cousins that came were Evyon and Craig, Lynette, Louise and her daughter, Teresa and her daughter Tasha.
Tasha and Mark are old time buddies...
I can't believe she is getting ready to graduate from high school... my how time flies when you are 'havin' fun...
Well, as you can see, we all had a lovely time...
when things got finished and cleaned up our group
got in the van and drove to salt lake city...
I had to teach Primary the next morning...
This to is life!!!
2012 is my 60th year... I find that hard to swallow. It's a good thing John H did it so well first because Louise and I can follow such a great leader. My favs are Grandchildren, my Sweetheart, Flowers, wind in my hair, Vegies, mud in my toes, taking photos, digging in the gardens... last but never least in my heart, my children.
